Tasmania Police are investigating after two shots were fired through the window of a Herdsmans Cove home on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 8pm at a property on Lamprill Circle, with bullets damaging a loungeroom window and exterior wood panel.
Two people were inside the home at the time of the shooting but escaped physical injury.
Authorities believe the shooting may involve parties known to each other and have moved to reassure the community that there is no broader threat to public safety.

The incident occured 50 minutes before a similar shooting in Glenorchy, which left a teenager with non-life-threatening injuries.
Pulse understands police are looking at whether both incidents are connected.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity in the Glenorchy and Herdsmans Cove areas, particularly anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.
‘Anyone with information regarding the shots fired, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage taken from Lamprill Circle about 8pm on Wednesday, should contact police on 131 444. Quote Offence Report 786462,” a police spokesperson said.
