Police launch urgent search for missing autistic teen at Clifton Beach

Updated – 7:40pm Thursday: Police say they have now located Elliot safe and well.

Earlier: Police are scouring the Clifton Beach area this evening in an urgent search for a missing 13-year-old boy.

Elliott, described as having autism and being of “large build for his age”, was last seen around 5:30pm in the North Clifton Beach carpark.

The teenager was wearing a grey tee-shirt featuring mushroom prints and navy-coloured pants at the time of his disappearance.

Police have established a coordinated search operation in the coastal area, with officers conducting sweeps of the beach and surrounding areas.

Police are urging anyone who spots Elliott or has information about his whereabouts to make immediate contact with authorities.

Members of the public with any information that could assist in locating Elliott are asked to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference number ESCAD 361-15012026.
