A Canadian tourist has been charged with drink driving in Tasmania after allegedly blowing more than three times the legal limit.
The 43-year-old woman was pulled over on the Tasman Highway at Cambridge on Saturday night.
Police said they had received a call from a member of the public that the driver was possibly behind the wheel under the influence.
Officers found the woman was holidaying in Tasmania and driving on an international licence.
She was given a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result and was then taken to the Bellerive police station for further testing.

A follow-up breath analysis returned a reading of 0.163 – more than three times the legal blood alcohol limit of 0.05.
“She was formally charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit and had her licence disqualified for a period of 12 months,” police said.
Tasmania Police thanked the member of the public who reported the woman and urged others to report dangerous driving.
