Police are searching for a person who was seen struggling in the water before disappearing at a beach in southern Tasmania.
A witness called police on Thursday afternoon after spotting the person in difficulty at Drip Beach, near Lymington in the Huon Valley.

The person vanished from view before help could arrive.
Officers are now at the scene coordinating a search operation.
A police drone, marine services and the rescue helicopter have all been deployed to assist.
Drip Beach is located about 30 minutes south of Huonville.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
“Anyone with information about the person involved is asked to contact police on 131 444 and quote 216-29012026,” a spokesperson said.
