A group of ‘dodgy’ English & Irish tradies are on the loose in Launceston, according to Tasmania Police.
The “scammers” have reportedly been intimidating people into buying their sub-par driveway repairs and roof painting services at inflated prices.

“In some cases, they have completed the work despite the business or resident declining the offer, using intimidation tactics and providing what appears to be a legitimate business card or invoice,” a Police spokesperson said.
People are being urged to be wary of unsolicited approaches and to contact Police if they feel threatened.
Anyone who has been scammed or has received a scam attempt can report the incident to scamwatch.gov.au.
