Grill’d are set to bring their famous burger creations to Hobart, opening their first ever restaurant in Tasmania, Pulse can reveal.
The popular Australian chain is known for their “guilt-free, healthy burgers” and has over 170 locations across the country.
Grill’d say they are now on the hunt for a Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Managers to join their “sizzling team” ahead of the inaugural store’s opening.
“Just like our burgers, Hobart is full of flavour!”
The company says it is a “proudly local-focused brand” and is excited to bring their popular brand to Tasmania, relishing “all that Tassie has to offer”.
The location of the new Hobart store has not yet been publicly released.
Grill’d was founded in Melbourne in 2004 and has since expanded to every state and territory except Tasmania.
Tasmanian Treasurer Michael Ferguson said it’s great to see more mainland chains like Grill’d come and set up shop in Tasmania.
“This is a win for jobs and a win for our community,” he told Pulse.
Mexican-inspired fast food outlet Guzman y Gomez is next on the wish-list for Tasmanians, with dozens of requests to open a store on the island flooding the company’s social media comments each month.
Update – August 8: Guzman y Gomez have since confirmed confirmed to Pulse that they plan to open in Tasmania.
