A program giving older Tasmanians $100 vouchers towards sport and recreation activities is returning following strong demand in its first round.
The Ticket to Wellbeing program will reopen today, offering financial support to help seniors participate in sporting activities across the state.
Sport Minister Nick Duigan said the initial October launch saw all available vouchers claimed within days.
“Many recipients have said how beneficial the financial support can be to staying connected to a sport or active recreation activity that they love,” Duigan said.

“We also heard how positive it can be for those trying out an activity for the first time, and so we want to make sure this program continues to benefit as many eligible Tasmanians as possible.”
The program now includes more than 300 registered activities ranging from golf, lawn bowls and tennis to croquet and tai chi.

Minister for Ageing Bridget Archer said the scheme is incredibly important for senior wellbeing.
“It’s helping older Tasmanians get out, socialise and get moving by participating in sport and active recreation activities in their local communities,” Archer said.
“We are delivering for older Tasmanians by doubling the program’s funding to ensure it continues in 2027-28.”
Up to 2,500 vouchers will be available in this round, with applications closing once all vouchers are issued.
Those who received vouchers in October are ineligible for the new round.
The program targets Tasmanians aged 65 and over who hold a valid Services Australia Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card.
Applications can be submitted online at www.tickettowellbeing.tas.gov.au or in person at select Service Tasmania sites.
