Power outage hits several Burnie suburbs affecting 2,300 customers

More than 2,300 homes and business across Burnie are without power this afternoon following a feeder failure.

TasNetworks said the outage is affecting residents in Acton, Burnie, Cooee, Hillcrest, Montello, Park Grove, Parklands and Upper Burnie.

“There’s been a feeder failure that’ll require a manual line patrol,” TasNetworks said.

“Crews are investigating and will restore power as soon as possible.”

No estimated restoration time has been provided, with customers advised to check with TasNetworks after 4:30pm for updates.
