Commercial space at a brand new shopping centre in Hobart’s northern suburbs has just been put up for lease.

The newly built Brighton Shopping Complex, anchored by a new IGA Supermarket, is expected to be completed in the coming months.

According to Knight Frank, the 162 Brighton Road project will be “transformative for the local community” and will provide ‘three excellent opportunities’ for retail or hospitality businesses.

Knight Frank has suggested a range of potential options, including a bottle shop, bakery, butcher, quick-service restaurant, takeaway, boutique fitness centre, allied health clinic, pharmacy or service retail store.

“The increased demand for this mixed use development is undoubtedly now, as the new $50 million Brighton High School site is under construction, with the school providing state of the art learning facilities for 600 students in years 7-12,” Knight Frank say.

“In addition to this Homes Tasmania also recently purchased an adjoining 10ha residential allotment of land with the potential for over 140 new dwellings.”
