Prince Nikolai of Denmark, the nephew of Tasmanian-born Queen Mary of Denmark, has made his first visit to Tasmania.
The 25-year-old royal, son of Prince Joachim and Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, arrived in Tasmania earlier this month to explore the island’s natural beauty.
He was in Australia for the GQ Men Of The Year awards in Sydney.
Known for his successful modelling career, Nikolai has been documenting his adventure through Instagram, showcasing Tasmania’s stunning landscapes and outdoor experiences to his more than 130,000 followers.
Nikolai was seen hiking through Freycinet National Park, visiting the floating sauna at Lake Derby and exploring Cradle Mountain and kunanyi/Mt Wellington.
It comes after Queen Mary flew home to Tasmania in late October for the wedding of her niece at Frogmore Creek.
