The court heard that professional cleaners were required after Halton relieved himself while in custody at Burnie Police Station, as reported by The Advocate.

Halton had told police he did not remember much after drinking two bottles of wine while on strong prescription medication.

The 50-year-old was also convicted of stealing, trespassing and destroying property during a three-month spree of offences last year, mostly against his neighbours.

In May, Halton stole items from a house on the same street and in June he entered another property nearby, stealing a security camera and damaging a window.
