Queenstown on Tasmania’s West Coast has won the title of Australia’s Top Small Tourism Town for 2023.
The award was given at a special ceremony held at Parliament House in Canberra.
Queenstown offers an unforgettable experience for adventurous travellers with its rich heritage, vibrant arts precinct, century-old steam train and breathtaking views.
Visitors can explore the town’s history through murals, museums, and art galleries, while thrill-seekers discover mountain bike tracks, bouldering fields and access to many of Tasmania’s unique rainforest hikes.
This win adds Queenstown to the list of Tasmanian towns that have received national recognition in tourism, including Stanley, New Norfolk, Strahan and Sheffield.
The National Top Tourism Town Awards program was hosted by the Australia Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) and winners were chosen by a national judging panel and consumer review scores.
