Tasmania is in for a wet week, with two cold fronts set to bring rain, thunderstorms and possibly even snow across the state.
Showers and patchy rain are moving through on Monday, with heavier and more widespread falls expected on Tuesday, mainly in western, southern and central parts.
Thunderstorms are possible in the north and east on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A second cold front will cross the state early on Thursday, bringing a fresh southerly change that will stick around into Friday.
Thursday is likely to be the most wintry day, with showers in most areas, small hail in the west and south and snow flurries above 1,000 metres during the afternoon and evening.
Winds along the coasts will be fresh and gusty from the south to south-west on Thursday and Friday.
By Friday, the rain should ease across most of the state, with the north coast staying mostly dry.
More settled conditions are expected to return by the weekend as high pressure builds from the south.
