Tasmanian veterans are set to benefit from fuel savings following a new partnership announced between RSL Tasmania and United Petroleum.
The announcement comes after RACT recently announced it would end its relationship with United Petroleum following a franchisee being found guilty of underpaying migrant workers.
RACT members will lose their six-cent-per-litre discount when the current agreement expires later this year.
United’s new agreement will provide RSL Tasmania’s 17,000 Service, Life and Affiliate Members with a four cent per litre discount at all staffed United and Astron service stations across Tasmania.

Members will also receive a special one-day-only double discount of eight cents per litre on Anzac Day this Friday.
In addition to member discounts, the deal includes a one cent per litre rebate to support RSL Tasmania’s Veteran Services delivered through VeteranHub.

RSL Tasmania CEO John Hardy said the partnership would benefit members facing cost-of-living pressures.
“The four cent per litre discount to our members will provide some comfort at a time when every cent counts,” Hardy said.
“This partnership with United will not only save our members at the bowsers, but support RSL Tasmania to deliver vital Veteran Services through VeteranHub.”
United Petroleum’s Head of Loyalty Judith Russell encouraged members to prepare early for the special Anzac Day offer.

“The more RSL Tasmania Members who sign up and use the United app, the bigger the rebate to Veteran Services will be,” Russell said.
“The fuel discount can be used once per day to a maximum of 150 litres.”
Current RSL members will receive an email with instructions to download the United Fuel app with the exclusive offer.
