Police and volunteers will return to dense bushland on Wednesday in a renewed effort to find a 76-year-old man missing for more than a week.
Scottsdale man Peter Willoughby was reported missing on October 5 near Hollybank Forest Reserve in Tasmania’s north-east.
Around 30 people, including search and rescue crews, general duties police and SES volunteers, will comb the heavily forested terrain tomorrow.
Sustainable Timber Tasmania staff will also assist with logistics.

Northern Search and Rescue Inspector Nick Clark said the operation would revisit areas already searched, while also expanding into new ground south of where Willoughby was last seen.
“This will be a substantial search,” he said.

The search was suspended on Friday after dangerous weather made it too risky for crews working in the thick bush.
Despite extensive efforts in the days after Willoughby disappeared, authorities have so far found no trace of him.
Inspector Clark said searchers remained determined, but police held serious concerns for his welfare given the length of time since his last contact.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have seen Willoughby in the area or has information about his whereabouts to contact them on 131 444.
