Tasmania will welcome VFL football back to the state for the first time in nearly two decades when the Devils host Coburg at North Hobart Oval on March 21.
A capacity crowd is anticipated for the fixture, with tickets going on sale March 10 and members receiving priority access.
The Tasmania Football Club’s head of football operations Aaron Pidgeon said the club was thrilled to begin its journey on home soil.
“To be playing our first Tasmania Football Club game in Tasmania will be a real thrill for our athletes and fans,” he said.
The Devils competed in the VFL from 2001 to 2008 before withdrawing from the competition.

Their return comes with significant support, including an increased salary cap of up to $280,000, a 50-player squad and additional coaching resources.
Coach Jeromey Webberley said expectations were high heading into the season.
“We have solid expectations about our entry into VFL and are looking forward to a competitive season,” he said.
“Our squad has a great blend of current state representatives, returning Tasmanians and talented recruits.”
The recruitment drive has brought several former AFL players back to their home state, headlined by ex-Sydney defender Robbie Fox.

Former Swan Caleb Mitchell, one-time Essendon small forward Jye Menzie and delisted North Melbourne player Geordie Payne have also signed on.
Tasmania will play 10 of its 18 home-and-away matches in the state, with games scheduled across the south, north and north-west.
The full fixture is expected within the fortnight, alongside the VFLW schedule. Women’s games are set to commence in mid-May.
The VFL season includes 21 rounds, with finals beginning in late August and the grand final scheduled for September 20.
