Police are investigating after shots were fired into a Launceston home while several people were inside on Sunday morning.
The firearm was discharged into the property on Russell Plains Road in Rocherlea at around 6:30am on April 6, according to Tasmania Police.
Despite the terrifying nature of the incident, authorities confirmed no injuries were reported among the occupants.
Witnesses reported seeing a silver Peugeot 207 fleeing the area immediately after the shooting.
Investigators believe the attack was targeted rather than random.
“Initial information suggests that the incident is targeted,” police said.
Authorities are now appealing for public assistance as they work to identify those responsible.
Police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the vicinity of Russell Plains Road and may have witnessed suspicious activity.
