A person has been airlifted to hospital in serious condition following a crash on the Bass Highway near Wynyard.
The crash, which occurred on Monday afternoon during the long weekend, forced the closure of the highway in both directions for several hours.

Tasmania Police confirmed that several other people involved in the crash were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
They said the person was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
