Several reportedly injured in serious Brooker Highway crash

Pulse understands several people have been ‘seriously injured’ in a crash on the Brooker Highway near Queens Domain tonight.

Dozens of Police officers, paramedics and firefighters are currently on the scene of the crash, which is blocking both northbound lanes of the highway.

Police say “extensive closures” are expected into the night and “no traffic” will be able to travel on either side of the road near the crash “for a number of hours”.

All traffic heading north will be diverted via New Town’s Federal Street, with motorists asked to take an alternate route to avoid the Brooker Highway.

Traffic coming from the Tasman Bridge on the Domain Highway will be diverted via Queens Walk.

Hobart-bound traffic is being diverted towards the Tasman Bridge on the Domain Highway.

Any motorists that may have dashcam footage of the crash are asked to contact Police.
