Swimmers at Coles Beach in Devonport are on high alert this afternoon after a shark sighting was reported to local authorities.
The sighting occurred around 100 metres off the shore, near the area known as Don Heads in Northern Tasmania.

Today’s warm weather has brought many beachgoers to the area, making the potential shark sighting all the more concerning for local residents and visitors.
Authorities are warning beachgoers to be cautious, and ask anyone with additional shark sightings to report them.
