Six-metre footbridge stolen from Rosny Boat Ramp in broad daylight

A six-metre footbridge has been stolen from the Rosny Boat Ramp in a brazen daylight theft.

Police say the footbridge disappeared between 7:30am and 9am on Saturday March 14, prompting an investigation.

Police are now hunting for a white ute, believed to be either a Nissan or Mitsubishi, that was spotted in the area around the time of the theft.

Investigators are appealing for public help to identify the ute and locate the missing footbridge.

“If you recognise this ute, or you know anything about the theft or current location of the footbridge, please phone Bellerive Police on 131 444 and quote OR 800020,” police said in a statement.
