British pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor has showed her 718,000 Instagram followers a taste of the Tasmania’s north-east.
Fresh from headlining Party in the Paddock last weekend, Bextor spent some time taking in the scenery of Tasmania before flying to Perth.
From floating saunas on Lake Derby to up-close meetings with wombats and Tasmanian devils at East Coast Natureworld, she seemed to make the most of being in the Apple Isle.
The Murder on the Dancefloor singer posted herself holding a devil and giving a wombat what staff at the park described as their favourite activity.

“She really loves a bum scratch,” a guide said to her.
“You can feel how tough their bottom is.”

The guide said that wombats pack serious power in their hindquarters.
“They can actually crush the skull of a Tasmanian devil with their bum,” she said.
She stayed at The Keep, a luxury retreat on a hill between Weldborough and St Helens.
She also visited local venues like the Lobster Shack in Bicheno for a seafood platter.
