Clover Hill Wines is returning as the official wine partner for this year’s Taste of Summer festival, reuniting two Tasmanian institutions that both launched in the 1980s.
The partnership was announced at the Pipers River winery on Saturday by Rosevears MLC Jo Palmer, who described it as “a perfect pairing for Tasmania’s vibrant summer”.
“Tasmania’s Taste of Summer is one of the state’s most iconic festivals, celebrating Tasmania’s world-class food, drink and entertainment,” she said.
The festival, which attracts more than 97,000 visitors to Hobart’s waterfront, provides a platform for producers from across the state to showcase their products.

Palmer said more than a quarter of stallholders come from outside Hobart, helping to highlight Tasmania’s premium food and beverage producers statewide.
Taste of Summer event director Jarrod Nation said Clover Hill was chosen for its quality and reputation.

“Clover Hill is synonymous with quality and the Taste of Summer has been aspiring to be the best food and drink festival in the world,” he said.
“Clover Hill are a founding partner of the Taste of Summer and we’re delighted to be able to continue that partnership not just for this year but into the future.”
Clover Hill general manager Ian White said the winery was honoured to continue its founding partnership with the festival.
“It’s a great opportunity to be involved with a great business, an iconic Tasmanian and Australian food and wine festival,” he said.

The winery will showcase 10 wines from its portfolio, including new products developed in collaboration with Killara Distillery and Coal River Chocolatier.
Nation said having a northern Tasmania partner was particularly important for the event’s statewide focus.
He said nearly 30,000 tourists visit the festival, with 10,000 spreading across Tasmania and spending money at regional businesses like Clover Hill.
This year’s festival has been reimagined with several new features, including the Clover Hill Atrium spanning around 1,000 square metres of waterfront space.

Festival-goers can watch the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race finish while enjoying oysters and sparkling wine with live music.
Other additions include the Tasmanian Smoked Meats smokeyard, a full-service restaurant from Season & Fire and a sports bar screening sporting events.
