A man from Mole Creek has been charged with multiple firearms and property offences following a raid in Invermay yesterday that uncovered two stolen shotguns.
The 45-year-old was arrested on Tuesday after police found the stolen and altered firearms, ammunition and fraudulent Tasmanian licences at a property.
He is also facing a trafficking charge related to a separate incident in Newstead in January 2024, where police seized a quantity methylamphetamine.
The man has been held in custody and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court today.
Firearms offences include possession of stolen firearms, possession of a shortened firearm and possessing a firearm without the appropriate licence category.
Property and bail breach charges have also been laid.
