Tasmania Devils memberships will go on sale February 23, with packages starting at $25 as the club moves beyond its foundation phase.

The new memberships replace the nominal $10 foundation memberships taken up by roughly 215,000 people over the past two years, offering fans their first chance to purchase full packages.

Continuous membership will be crucial for those wanting priority access to seats at Macquarie Point Stadium when it opens, with the club planning to reward loyal members when stadium allocations become available.

Devils marketing director Kath McCann said membership details would be released on Thursday to give fans time to consider their options before the sale opens.

“We want to make sure that all of our members and fans in the broader community have got the opportunity to learn and gain more information before the point of purchase,” she told Pulse.

The club will offer two main packages: a $25 Devils Supporter membership and an $80 Devils Believer membership, with concession and junior pricing available.

The Believer package allows members to purchase add-ons for VFL and VFLW tickets and social club access.

Crucially, it unlocks the ability to reserve a spot in the queue for guaranteed 2028 AFL memberships when they’re released in May.

McCann said the club had surveyed members extensively to shape the packages.

“There were some really clear trends that came up and that included things such as access to VFL and VFLW,” she said.

“We will be rewarding and recognising members with continual years of membership,” Ms McCann said of the stadium seat allocations.

The club is uncertain how many of the 215,000 founding members will convert to full memberships but is encouraging everyone to continue on the journey.

“Membership is the very best way you can support our club to grow and build a sustainable platform for success into the future,” Ms McCann said.

Believer members will get first access to tickets for the Devils’ inaugural VFL match on March 21 at North Hobart Oval, which is expected to sell out with more than 11,000 fans.

The full VFL fixture will be released next week, with matches planned across the state including double-headers featuring men’s and women’s teams.
