A Hobart-born TikTok star has been recognised as one of Australia’s top young social media talents, securing a spot on Sydney Confidential’s prestigious 30 under 30 influencer list.
The list highlights Australia’s most promising young social media personalities who have managed to turn viral content into sustainable careers.
Georgie Hansen, 18, who began her social media journey at just 15 years old, described her inclusion as a “pinch me moment”.
With more than 650,000 TikTok followers and 105,000 Instagram followers, Hansen has gone from being a Tasmanian teenager creating lip-syncing videos to a sought-after influencer who has relocated to Sydney to pursue her career.

Hansen’s growing influence among teens and Gen Z has seen her partner with several leading beauty and lifestyle brands, and even receive an invitation to Fiji for a schoolies trip.
Morgan Barta, managing director of talent agency Atarimae and a long-time industry expert, said authenticity is the key to influencer success.

“I believe it comes down to authenticity,” Barta told Confidential.
““Which is that an influencer that remains authentic to the person they were when they started.”
“This helps build a strong personal brand.”
