A 30-year-old man is in custody after allegedly ramming a police vehicle at a popular camping spot south of Hobart.
Police said an unmarked patrol car was conducting routine operations at Trial Bay campground about 12:30pm on Tuesday when a white Isuzu drove directly at the vehicle.

The four-wheel drive crashed into the driver’s side door before fleeing the scene, sparking a brief evade that ended in nearby Kettering.
The driver was arrested and is assisting police with their investigation, a spokesperson said.

No officers or members of the public were injured during the confrontation.
Police earlier said another person was assisting officers with their enquiries at the scene.
