Police have charged two men after seizing multiple firearms and drugs during separate searches in Tasmania’s Meander Valley this week.
Deloraine police conducted a targeted search at a Weegeena property on Tuesday, where officers found a .22 calibre rifle, a .22 Magnum rifle, an air rifle and a Glock pistol.
They also seized ammunition and illicit substances from the residence.
A 52-year-old Weegeena man was charged with multiple drug and firearms offences.
In an unrelated operation the following day, police searched a Deloraine address and discovered a hydroponic cannabis growing setup.

Officers seized a large quantity of cannabis from the property and charged a 56-year-old Deloraine man with drug-related offences.
Both men are expected to appear in court at a later date.
Inspector Craig Fox said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to target illegal drug and firearm activity across Tasmania.
“We know the impact drugs and firearms have on the community, and these searches are evidence of our continued commitment to community safety and holding offenders to account,” he said.
