Dave Flower, President of Skål International Hobart, commended foundation chair Rob Pennicott’s contributions to Tasmania’s tourism industry.

“It’s hard not to love a bloke like Rob, he’s done so much for our industry so it makes sense that industry gives something back through the causes that Rob is passionate about,” said Flower.

“Each year, we raise thousands of dollars for worthwhile projects, and it was a no-brainer to help Rob continue to deliver a range of sustainability projects.”

The relationship between Skål and the Pennicott Foundation isn’t new.

“We’ve been delighted to partner with Skal for nearly 10 years, including regular coastal clean-up activities with the tourism industry to remove tonnes [of waste] from local beaches”, Rob Pennicott said.

Skål’s donation will be channelled to support the Pennicott Foundation’s various programs, which includes coastal reserve and marine reserve management, marine mammal and seabird conservation and community awareness initiatives.
