Gatehouse said the store will offer all the usual pie flavours like Chunky Beef, Bacon and Cheese and Tasmanian Curried Scallop.

“We’re looking forward to offering freshly baked goods, Australian sourced ingredients and a menu that truly celebrates Tasmania’s rich culinary traditions,” she said.

Banjo’s acting CEO Bradley Saxby said the expansion feels like “coming full circle”, having recently launched multiple new stores on the mainland.

“Banjo’s began here in Tasmania and it’s incredibly rewarding to see how far we’ve come from a small local bakery to a beloved national brand,” he said.
