Tasmanian bakery chain Banjo’s has expanded its presence in the state with the opening of a new store in Brighton.
Local franchisee Ella Gatehouse said she is excited to bring the ‘Tassie favourite’ to the growing suburb north of Hobart.
“I’m so thrilled to be able to bring Banjo’s to my own community,” she said.
“Opening a new store in Brighton is a special moment for myself and my family.”
Gatehouse said the store will offer all the usual pie flavours like Chunky Beef, Bacon and Cheese and Tasmanian Curried Scallop.
“We’re looking forward to offering freshly baked goods, Australian sourced ingredients and a menu that truly celebrates Tasmania’s rich culinary traditions,” she said.
Banjo’s acting CEO Bradley Saxby said the expansion feels like “coming full circle”, having recently launched multiple new stores on the mainland.
“Banjo’s began here in Tasmania and it’s incredibly rewarding to see how far we’ve come from a small local bakery to a beloved national brand,” he said.
“This new store reflects our ongoing commitment to stay true to our roots and grounded in our community as our network grows.”
To celebrate the grand opening, Banjo’s Brighton will be giving away 1,000 free savouries on December 18.
