Tasmanian band Middle Palms has won the Triple J Unearthed competition for Party In The Paddock 2025.

The four-piece, made up of Sam Sherlock on vocals, Floyd Taylor on guitar, Charlie Wilkinson on bass and Callum Waller on drums, will take to the main stage at the festival in February.

They are on the line-up alongside acts like Empire Of The Sun, The Kooks, Oliver Tree, Aurora and Allday.

Middle Palms say they draw inspiration from bands like Ocean Alley and have been gigging tirelessly around Tasmania, which they say has put them in a prime position to perform at the festival.

“After an incredible 2024 we are pumped to keep the ball rolling into 2025 playing for you guys at PITP! What a perfect way to start the year,” the band said.

The band, which formed in high school, celebrated their first play on Triple J last month when Summer Nights host Anika Luna played their song ‘Runaway Girl’.
