A Tasmanian golfer and entrepreneur from the reality TV show Married At First Sight has reportedly found love with a fellow cast member, despite being matched with a different person on the show.

43-year-old Clint Rice from Launceston described himself as “humbly wealthy” and said he has achieved a lot in both golf and business, but is now looking for love.

“I’ve been to all their weddings and it’s like, ‘Hmm, is that what’s going to happen to me?’ It’s a real struggle in Tassie, at 43, to actually find someone,” he said.

“I’ve definitely had thoughts that I might never get married, I might never find someone that I truly have that connection with.”

According to tabloid media outlets, Rice has moved on with Jacqui Burfoot, who is currently starring on the show and is married to Ryan Donnelly.

A source told the Daily Mail that Burfoot has already relocated to Tasmania to start a new life with Rice, leaving Donnelly “blindsided”.

Burfoot has reportedly moved into Rice’s northern Tasmanian estate, which boasts a tennis court, golf simulator and home theatre.

The scandal is said to have ruined Rice and his on-screen wife Lauren Hall’s wedding storyline which aired tonight, throwing the ‘entire season into disarray’.

On the show, Rice says he doesn’t have many deal breakers, but is drawn to feminine women who like to be protected and provided for.

“I want someone who is ideally older than me, someone who I like to protect, provide for, be like the man in the house,” he says.

“Getting the door for the girl, paying for dinner, I think some of those old-fashioned qualities often are missing nowadays.”
