Premier Jeremy Rockliff and a mix of returning and newly appointed ministers have be sworn in at Government House this afternoon, marking the official start of Tasmania’s next Liberal government.
Governor Barbara Baker oversaw the 2pm ceremony, where 10 ministers took on portfolios spanning health, education and infrastructure.
Guy Barnett stays on as deputy premier and attorney-general, adding justice, corrections, small business and trade to his responsibilities.
Eric Abetz steps in as treasurer and leader of government business, with the Macquarie Point urban renewal project also under his watch.
Bridget Archer takes on the health portfolio, considered one of the toughest in government, along with mental health, wellbeing, ageing and Aboriginal affairs.

Energy minister Nick Duigan has retained parks and sport, while Felix Ellis takes charge of business, industry, skills, jobs and emergency services.
Jane Howlett picks up tourism and hospitality, plus racing and women’s affairs.
Environment minister Madeleine Ogilvie adds innovation, multicultural affairs and the arts to her list.
Education minister Jo Palmer will now also oversee children’s services and disability support.
Gavin Pearce takes on primary industries and veterans’ affairs, while Kerry Vincent will handle infrastructure, transport, local government, housing and planning.
Rob Fairs joins the team as parliamentary secretary for youth engagement and sport.
