Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff has slammed the latest impressions of the proposed Hobart stadium as ‘scare tactics’.
The image, created by an anti-stadium group based on what they say were official measurements provided by the government, show the stadium towering over Hunter Street and the potential visual impact it may pose to the area.
It is set to be featured in a month-long billboard campaign across North Hobart and Glenorchy.
The rendering was created by Shamus Mulcahy, former president of the Tasmanian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, who was commissioned by Our Place.
Rockliff said the state government is still working on the final designs, instead releasing new images to ‘clear up myths’ created by the group.
“Don’t be fooled by the blockers, as dodgy as some of their efforts may be,” he told Pulse.
