By promoting Tasmania as an attractive place to live and work, Secretary of the Department of Health Kathrine Morgan-Wicks hopes Brits will make the move.

“We are continuing to actively recruit both locally and nationally for additional healthcare workers, with international recruitment also forming part of our long-term Health Workforce 2040 strategy,” Ms Morgan-Wicks said.

“By having a presence at international Healthcare Job Fairs such as the one in London this week, we are increasing awareness of Tasmania as a destination among healthcare workers and highlighting the career opportunities available here.”

“We have found that health workers from the UK looking for a better work-life balance have found moving to Tasmania to be a fulfilling and rewarding experience.”

The recruitment is targeting various health professionals, including medical practitioners, nurses, midwives and allied health occupations.
