The dust has barely settled on its biggest edition yet, and Tasmania’s Party In The Paddock has already set the dates for its 2027 return, February 4–7.
The music festival at Quercus Park, 15 minutes from Launceston, drew record-breaking crowds to its 2026 edition.
Jesse Higgs founded the event in 2012 as a rogue 21st birthday party featuring local musicians and a hay bale stage.
It has since grown from 400 attendees to 14,000 and become one of Australia’s most recognised regional events.

Higgs has stepped away from his role as Festival and Artistic Director after 15 years at the helm and has handed over operations to his business partners and co-festival directors of 11 years, Alec McLelland and Ryan Limb.
“We are still riding the high of our biggest Paddock yet, and couldn’t wait to lock in our dates for you,” organisers said in a statement.

This year’s festival hosted big-name Australian acts such as Ocean Alley and The Temper Trap and drew international artists like Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Veronicas.
Festival-goers can now influence the 2027 event by completing an official feedback survey.
The survey offers participants a chance to win four “Golden Tickets” worth thousands of dollars which includes four-day festival and camping tickets, VIP upgrades, two camping car passes and $500 in “Vibestown Cash” for bars and merchandise.
“We’re back at work planning what’s ahead for PITP and beyond – and as always, we need your help,” organisers said.

The survey closes this Friday.
Lineup details for 2027 will be announced in the coming months.
