Tasmanian musician Kim Dracula has narrowly escaped after their tour bus caught fire while they were sleeping in Texas.
The artist, born Samuel Wellings, was woken in the early hours of the morning by crew members banging on their door.
“I was in the back behind a locked door and was woken up by my crew telling me to get off the bus,” Dracula wrote on Instagram.
“We all got off immediately and within 30 seconds the entire bus was engulfed in flames, starting right where I was laying down.”

The fire has forced Dracula to cancel upcoming performances in Texas and Arkansas while on their “Hell of a Summer Tour” supporting American metal-core band Ice Nine Kills.
“Most of us lost all our possessions, including things we needed for the show,” they said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, but the musician lost their phone along with other belongings.
Dracula hopes to resume performing at the Madison, Wisconsin show on August 27.
“I am sorry to any of you who were looking forward to seeing us perform,” they said.
The Tasmanian-born artist, who now lives in the United States, rose to prominence during 2020 with metal re-interpretations of popular songs shared on social media.
