The charges relate to alleged assaults that occurred while the officer was on duty in Hobart on November 19 last year.
Tasmania Police confirmed the officer has been removed from operational duties pending the outcome of court proceedings.

A spokesperson did not provide specific details about the incident.
“It is not appropriate to make any further comment given the matter is now before the court,” the spokesperson said.
