Tasmania’s potato shortage has gotten worse, with ‘potato thieves’ taking to local farms to get their hands on the produce! 🥔
The family behind the Huon Valley’s Rocky Ridge Farm are pleading for answers after 50 kilos of Dutch Cream and Pink Eye potatoes were taken from their Geeveston property on Boxing Day.

Farmer Steven Franklin says he has handed video footage of the thieves over to police, and is calling on the offenders to come forward.
“We are good people, who would give you spuds if times are tough! Come approach us instead of taking our spuds without permission,” he said in a social media post.
