The Liberal Party has announced its full Franklin ticket, with Jeremy Rockliff naming seven candidates for the key southern electorate.
The announcement comes with just a month to go before Tasmanians head to the polls on July 19.
Eric Abetz, who secured a seat in Franklin at the 2024 state election, will campaign alongside fellow incumbents Jacquie Petrusma and Nic Street.
Also on the ticket are Dean Young, Natasha Miller, Michele Howlett and Josh Garvin.

“We have assembled a strong, united team with the experience to finish the job for Tasmania,” Rockliff said.
“Eric, Jacquie and Nic bring decades of experience, having achieved great things for Tasmania and strong community service records.”

Rockliff said Young, who previously represented the party in Franklin after a countback following Petrusma’s 2022 resignation, had “jumped at the chance” to stand again.
He described Miller as having “strong connections across the business and logistics sectors” and praised Garvin as “a new dad who is passionate about ensuring young Tasmanians get a go”.
“This election comes down to one choice. A strong Liberal team with a real plan or another merry-go-round of chaos and compromise,” Rockliff said.
Franklin will also be contested by seven Labor candidates, the Greens and several independents – including David O’Byrne and anti-salmon campaigner Peter George, who gained traction but fell short at the recent federal election.
The electorate spans southern Tasmania and Hobart’s eastern suburbs, with voters split between the eastern shore and communities to the south and south-west of the city.
