Claire Saunders, a 37-year-old Tasmanian truck driver who grew up on Flinders Island, took a leap of faith when she became a contestant on the latest season of Farmer Wants A Wife.
Now, she is raising an orphaned joey with farmer Andrew Coleman, who she met on the show.
Saunders was working four days on and four days off at Savage River mines driving dump trucks before going on the show.
She was keen to find love but found it hard to find the time and opportunity to meet someone with her work schedule.

After her sister and mum told her about a new batch of farmers for Farmer Wants A Wife, she decided to give it a go and went online to check out the contestants.
Andrew and Claire hit it off, and he confessed his feelings to her in Sunday night’s episode.
Since leaving the reality show, Ms Saunders has moved to Andrew’s farm in Narromine, NSW, and has been working casually at the mines in Tomingley.
She says her life and animals have seamlessly slotted in well at the farm, where they have 10 poddy lambs that hang out in the backyard with the dogs.
