Tasmanian Wine Festival to return to Hobart’s Botanical Gardens in February

The annual Tasmanian Wine Festival will return to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in February 2025 for its fifth year.

The festival, which has sold out multiple sessions in previous years, will take place on February 8th and 9th.

Over 30 Tasmanian vineyards and winemakers will be present, offering a wide variety of wines for sampling.

A carefully curated food selection from the state’s finest producers and live entertainment will complement the wines.

Melbourne Ska Orchestra will headline the event at all three sessions, bringing together some of Australia’s top musicians and performers.

Wine lovers can attend three different session times during the festival

Frogmore Creek are one of the wineries on-show at the festival, saying they are proud to have been there ‘since the start’.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of Tasmania’s winemaking talent and celebrate the incredible diversity of our region,” Frogmore Creek’s Shelley Bickerstaff said.

“Sharing our wines in such a beautiful setting, with food and music to match, makes this event truly one-of-a-kind.”

Other local favourites set to be on offer include Derwent Estate, Clover Hill, Pooley, Nocton Vineyard, Velo Wines, Milton, Gala Estate, Small Island Wines and Torch Bearer Wines.

Wine lovers can choose between three session times, with the first for all ages on Saturday between 12pm and 4pm and the second on Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.

The event will become R18 from 5:30pm on Saturday.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Tuesday for early bird pre-sale members and 9am on Wednesday for the general public.
