Tasmanian woman becomes first female plant manager at JBS

A Tasmanian woman has become the first female plant manager at Australian meat giant JBS.

Blaze Barker started working as a casual at the Longford JBS factory around 2006, after visiting the plant on a school trip.

16 years later, the former Cressy District High student has risen through the ranks to become Plant Manager.

JBS Longford employs over 300 people and exports its beef products to more than 30 countries.
