Tasmania’s most popular dog names and breeds have been revealed on International Dog Day.
According to RACT, the top five most common dog names in the state are Frankie, Ruby, Daisy, Winston and Archie.

“These names, filled with personality and warmth, reflect the human-like charm of our pets and the deep bond we share with them,” Chief Experience Officer Karla Wasinski said.
When it comes to breeds, Golden Retrievers are the most popular choice among Tasmanians, followed by Cavoodles, Labradors, Miniature Dachshunds, Border Collies and French Bulldogs.
“These names and breeds, known for their friendly nature and strong bonds with their owners, highlight the state’s love for furry family members,” Wasinski said.
