Tasmania’s very own Wolfe Brothers have secured an impressive six nominations for the upcoming 2024 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards.
The Huon Valley brothers are already six-time Golden Guitar award winners and are eager to add to their accolades in the 52nd edition.
The pair are up for the Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of the Year, while their sixth studio album ‘Livin’ The Dream, is in the running for Toyota Album of the Year and Contemporary Country Album of the Year.
Their track ‘Here’s To the Ones’ has the potential to win Song of the Year and their collaboration with Travis Collins on ‘Runnin’ The Country’ has been nominated for Vocal Collaboration of the Year and Single of the Year.
Casey Barnes, the 2023 Toyota Album of the Year winner and a fellow Tasmanian, has picked up three nominations, including Single of the Year for ‘Summer Nights’ and Male Artist of the Year.
This year’s awards, supported by the Country Music Association of Australia and the Tamworth Regional Council, received over 762 entries, matching the record number from 2022.
Other leading nominees for the awards include Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham and James Johnston, both with six nominations.
Last year’s top winners Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley are nominated for five awards.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for late January next year at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.
