A Tassie teenager has set a ‘new under 16 state record’ at the Australian Junior Championships this week!

Jack Woodberry stole the 3000m win from a Victorian teen in the final 200m, closing a ‘significant gap’ to win the gold with a time of 8:32.17.

Athletics Tasmania say Woodberry smashed the state under 16 record ‘by 9 seconds’ and ‘set his personal best’ time in the race.
