A 14-year-old girl is in custody after a woman was allegedly stabbed with scissors at a George Town address this evening.
Police were called to a medical facility about 6:45pm after the victim presented with stab wounds to her chest and arm.

The woman is in a stable condition at Launceston General Hospital.
Officers tracked the incident to a nearby address where they arrested the teenage girl.
She has been taken to Launceston Police Station for questioning.
Police have seized a pair of scissors believed to be the weapon used in the attack.
Tasmania Police said enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are continuing.
