A teenage boy is facing an assault charge after allegedly attacking a woman in a parked vehicle outside a home in Deloraine earlier this month.
Police responded to reports of the assault at around 11:30pm on March 9, where they found a woman with minor injuries.
The alleged offender, a 16-year-old boy, fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Following investigations, Tasmania Police have arrested and charged the youth in relation to the “isolated” incident.
The teenager is also facing multiple charges over a separate matter that occurred in Chudleigh three days later.
These include reckless driving, evading police and other traffic offences stemming from the March 12 incident.
The boy will appear in the Youth Justice Division of the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date to face all charges.
