A teenager who allegedly caused a scene on a Launceston bus before later damaging the vehicle is being sought by Police.
The Redline bus company said the incident occurred on the North East Service from Bridport via Scottsdale to Launceston at around 8:30am on Wednesday when an anti-social youth became disruptive towards other passengers and the bus driver.
They warned that passengers may be banned from their services under the Passenger Transport Services Act if they are found to be in breach of the ‘Passenger Conduct Code of Conduct’.
“Tas Police will also continue to provide support with an increased presence on this service as a deterrent towards anti-social behaviour,” a spokesperson said.
Police say they are yet to lay any charges, but are following a specific line of enquiry to locate the youth and ask anyone with related information to contact them.
