A teenage boy from New Norfolk has been charged with more than 20 offences following a months-long crime spree targeting local businesses.
The 16-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and now faces 21 charges including burglary, stealing, motor vehicle theft and drug-related offences.
Police allege the youth is responsible for numerous criminal incidents across the New Norfolk area dating back to October.
The charges relate to break-ins at several small businesses and the theft of various items throughout the community.
Bridgewater Police Inspector Luke Horne said the teenager had been detained following the arrest and would appear before the Youth Justice Division of the Hobart Magistrates Court.

“While people are enjoying time with family and friends over the holidays, our officers are continuing to work around the clock to keep the community safe and hold offenders accountable,” Inspector Horne said.
The arrest comes as part of ongoing police operations targeting property crime in the area, with authorities maintaining a visible presence throughout the holiday period.
Authorities are urging residents with information about criminal activity in the New Norfolk area to come forward.
